The bright yellow of Villarreal football shirts has become more and more famous over recent years, as they’ve taken part in the Champions League and also grown in stature in their own domestic league.

The latest home shirt is a nice effort from Puma, that ticks most of the boxes when you think of football shirts in Spain. It’s bright (obviously being yellow) and has a massive sponsorship logo splashed across the front. But wait, it’s actually a nice shirt!

I think Puma have done a great job. It’s not as over the top as it could have been and has a really nice, simple collar thrown into the mix. I’d wear it and that’s saying a lot given the fact it’s
well…yellow.

The away shirt is identical except black so unsurprisingly it’s also a winner. You couldn’t go more
from one extreme to another than yellow to black but both work, so everyone wins. Although that being said, I don’t like it when a team has the same away shirt design as their home top, it just seems lazy.
