The latest Lyon football shirts aren’t particularly going to set the world of football shirts on fire and I don’t think they at all do justice to a team that is quickly growing in stature.

The thing that strikes me immediately about the shirts is how uninspiring they are. I mean, Umbro design a lot of shirts for a lot of average sides and I would have thought designing for Lyon would have given them the opportunity to showcase what they can really do. If that was indeed their intention, they wasted it quite frankly.

I don’t like how the massive Sponsorship badge is plastered down the middle and the red and blue line could have been implemented in a much classier manner. The collar is simple but a little bit annoying at the same time (if that makes sense?!).

The best part of the shirt is the massive badge on the back which is a strangely unique touch to a very unimaginative design. In my opinon though, this one factor doesn’t make up for an incredibly lacklustre attempt.
